Bug: Cursor skips back when deleting text when composing an email

more options

In most circumstances when I delete text while composing an email, the cursor skips back by the same number of characters as the word I deleted. This always seems to happen when double-clicking to select the text. It doesn't seem to if I click and drag to select the text, or just press delete when no text is selected.

Hello there We have read the message. We try to help

Okay your program is stuck you write.

Okay, I understand from your writing that your cursor works fine except for a subject you specify, that it doesn't work and it goes back to what you're doing like on your video.

I believe it as shown in this video.

What version of Thunderbird are you using? Can I ask?

what kind of control system do you use? are you using linux?

Hello there

Your mouse may not be responding as it should if you have a separate mouse such as wireless or otherwise you could check to see if your drivers for this device are out of date or simply need to be updated again.

Another subject could also be the culprit.

There could also be another topic that is the culprit, I can suggest you merge this into other related topics almost identical to yours.

By this I mean that I can provide you with a laundry list of solutions.

by this I mean that you should be able to run this list in order to minimize or eliminate this topic from incorrect use with it.

Hello there

Restart the affected app or editor Check for updates

The Thunderbird software check for conflicts with other software. Please try a reset for the Thunderbird app

Restart the device for example. Update the device. Repair or reinstall software Check for malware or viruses Check for conflicts with other programs.

Check for hardware problems.

Check your RAM usage so that you do not experience freeze moments.

Freezing usually returns to the ram using its reaction capabilities.

You may also be causing this due to missing or missed updated devices you are working with.

it could also be a button that you have not switched on, for example. It can also be in a small corner.
