Having trouble transferring local folders, address' and calendar to new computer. Have followed the Mozella instructions and the only folders transferred are Hold and Trash which are a fraction of the folders I have. What am I doing wrong?

It helps if you tell us what you are doing. It might be easier to transfer the entire profile. Please provide more information and we will attempt to assist.

Followed the steps found in the following website: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer. Currently have the entire profile on my external hard drive.

The Hold and Trash folders under my email account were the only folders transferred. None my Local Folders, Addresses, or Calendar were transferred.

There are 487 files in the profile of which only 187 were transferred. That matches the files Hold and Trash.

Let's try a newer approach. - First, it is important that the profile you have was not a copy created while Thunderbird was running, as that causes some files to not be copied. - assuming the version of thunderbird on pc was relatively current, and that Thunderbird is installed on new computer, try this step: - be sure that thunderbird is NOT running - copy the folder from external hard drive that was at c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird

 TO
    c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming

that will store the old folder named thunderbird subordinate to the roaming folder - restart thunderbird and all files should appear

If all folders do not come across, my suggestion is to review, in windows file explorer, the contents of the saved profile. Do check and let us know. Thank you.
