unable to set live email on thunderbird

Hello

When I try to connect to my live email on thunderbird for the first time, it tells me that my username or password is incorrect. I am sure they are correct I can connect to other apps and webmail. I saw someone with the same issue telling he has the double authentication activated on live email, which is my case aswell. Anyone can confirm if thats the issue and how to fix it please. Removing the double authentication from my email is not a desirable option.

actually I found the solution. I changed the setup from automatic to manual. and in manual there are different options for the password. then you can indicate it is a double authentication password and it works

Then create an app password for Thunderbird over at live and use that.

actually I found the solution. I changed the setup from automatic to manual. and in manual there are different options for the password. then you can indicate it is a double authentication password and it works
