Some of my icons in the menu bar of thunderbird have disappeared. In particular, I would like the "Write" back as a tab in my toolbar, so It's only one click to send a message. I have found ways to send a message, but I have to click on my Sasktel account first, so I can select "Write a New message". I've tried several things in the Thunderbird Help section, but nothing has worked. How do I get my "Write" option back?

Right-click the Unified bar (the one with the search box), Customize..., and drag the Write button onto the bar.

Or, enable the Folder Pane Header under View/Folders to show the New Message button.
