Hi, hope you're well!

Is there any way to stop this program from relentlessly deleting (important work) emails out my inbox? I have tried every solution posed online when I search the issue, but low and behold every once in a while, when I restart the program, there goes another bunch of emails into the ether? I've looked into the advanced mail.purge settings amongst many others, nothing works, it even deletes 'starred' emails despite that check box being ticked.

I really love every other aspect of this email client, but this is infuriating, can someone please help?

I'm running it in IMAP, because you know, synced email over various platforms is way easier.......at least it should be.

Any knowledge is hugely appreciated, I'm on the brink of switching to a far inferior platform, and really don't want to.

Thanks in advance.

Neale

Compacting in an IMAP environment results in all headers for each folder being downloaded again. The server being canonical and therefore consulted as to the correct content to display. While the content may not be visible for a time while the download occurs, I do not think anything is actually lost.
