Set Up Another Account
Hello, someone solve this problem ? I can't setup new account in Thunderbird 102.4.1 . I have 3 active IMAP account on my Thunderbird and when i want to set a new IMAP account the Thunderbird will stay in "Checking password". IF i press the cancel and i want to add again the messages is "Incoming server already exist" I found this problem to more users which are using this version of Thunderbird. On the other PC i uninstalled this version and i reinstall another older version and everything is ok. On my pc i don't want to uninstall thunderbird because i have a lot of email structured and configuration. I attached a screenshot with this error.
Chosen solution
Your earlier screenshot shows user id as 'office', but normally, the user id also requires the domain name, e.g., office@xyz.com. Please try that in server settings.

I have found a simple solution: when creating a new account, DO NOT include the password while Thunderbird is setting up the account. Wait until the account has been created and then enter password when prompted.
Hi, already i check this thing but after that account was created i insert the password but i received "Login to account failed" I attached a photo. PS: On the other PC with an older thunderbird version this i can to add this account.

Thanks! After a lot of testing methods i forget the domain for username but the problem was solved creating the account without password and then entering the password
Hello,
Tried the suggestion to enter first name last name, email address and omit the password; TB found info. When I entered my password it still said "incoming server already exists." What is the next step?
Close the account close thunderbird start thunderbird enter account info without password
That typically does it.
Thank you for your emails. I did as you suggested, but all I get is "incoming server already exists."
Are you entering account id including domain name, e.g. xxxxx@gmail.com? This 'incoming server...' issue is being investigated as a bug, but all previous users I've been in contact with used those steps to get by it.
My problems finally solved, but thanks for your email.
