We have used Thunderbird for email for years and about two weeks ago it suddenly would not let us access our emails using Thunderbird. It does not accept our password, won't allow us to change passwords and does not recognize our email addresses. Our emails all end with Frontier.com. We can still for now access our emails on the Frontier/Yahoo or mail/Yahoo.com site with our old passwords but really need to get to our archived emails and address book in Thunderbird.

We have tried changing security settings and authentication method without success. Our server is pop3.Frontier.com. We talked with support at Frontier and they basically said that it was a Thunderbird problem since we could access our email via Yahoo

Is Frontier administered by Yahoo? I believe Yahoo requires a specific APP password for email access from an email client. If you're affected, their website is at https://help.yahoo.com/kb/frontier/SLN15241.html
