Thunderbird slow because network folder is unavailable

Hi!

I think this is recurring problem on this forum but I couldn't find any "good" answers... I have a couple of Thunderbirds that are crashing in my company because the last folder that the user went was a network folder that now is disconnected... How can I avoid this behaviour? How can I force Thunderbird to remember always the same local folder?

We already try updating to 102 and the problem still persists...

Thank you.
