How to select the right identity/account for an imported email automatically?

more options

I have Thunderbird (TB) with 3 accounts , in following order, • x@gmail.com • a@ownprovider.nl • y@gmail.com Due to problems of Outlook 2010 with gmail security since 30-5-2022 I export/import Post_Out from Outlook to Concepts of account y@gmail.com in TB. Status is "`Concept mail" . So far so good. When I open the mail and send it, it however automatically uses x@gmail.com. Of course I can change the source account. But then also the signature is, unintended, inserted. But. How can I force that TB always takes y@gmail.com as the source account when I open concept mails under account y@gmail.com? Without adding the signature. Or is the only possibility to open a second instance of TB? Thanks in advance.

I admit to not understanding what you mean by 'concept mail.' If you have three separate accounts, you need three accounts defined in Thunderbird. You can set folders to unified so their inboxes and sent folders appear as one, but three accounts are needed. And maybe I need to know more about what you mean by 'concept mail.'

Concept (draft) means: the mail is ready, but has not yet been sent. I compose it automatically with external SW in Outlook 2010 and then have to transport it to TB. Outlook 2010 does not work any longer with gmail. Outlook 2021 does, but my automation SW is not [yet] compatible with Outlook 2021. What a mess......

The 3 accounts appear as 3 three separate mailboxes. That is OK.

When I import data in Drafts of the 3-rd Account y@gmail.com, I expect that when I open the draft in order to send it, it gets the identity/source of this 3-rd acocunt. But it inherits it from the first account x@gmail.com. That's not what I expected and not what I need.
