Hyperlink Max lenth
Does anyone know a way to get my e-edition newspaper from Chicago Tribune to load? I have a feeling the link length is too long, and Thunderbird security settings are not letting it load. Any way around this.
Here is today's link:

When I click on that link you provided it opens in a new Firefox tab using this which is a lot shorter: https://digitaledition.chicagotribune.com/html5/desktop/production/default.aspx?edid=a2638d49-e849-41af-8cc4-0a73a7ba32f8
TEST: I used your http://nsl.chicagotribune.com/ super lengthy etc link in a new Write message - saved as draft - selected to view draft and the link worked as it then opened the https://digitaledition.chicagotribune.com/ much shorter link webpage.
Interesting, I tried everything and still get a blank see attached!
I repeated the same steps and interestingly my link is not shortened and not displayed. I even used CCleaner to clear cache and history. I going to reboot into PopOS and see if this might be a windows 11 issue.
Okay, reboot to Linux, and the message is displayed. So I now know it is not my Pihole or Router blocking. Check Malaware Bytes still blocked. Any ideas for Windows 11? Curious are you testing on Windows or Linux, Mac? Also noticed images load properly on my iPhone.
I'm testing on Windows 10 Using Anti-Virus Norton 360 which handles Firewall. I've switched off Norton VPN (Norton auto enabled it after an update) as it causes no end of problems. I had known good links not going to expected results. So check to see if you have a VPN operating. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-manually-configure-vpn-windows-11
Thunderbird is set up as an allowed program in Firewall.
I do not use anything like CCLeaner - it's not generally thought of as a good idea to let cleaner programs anywhere near Thunderbird as they can clear session data etc and can cause annoying problems.
Windows 11 does have a 'Smart App Control ': https://www.microsoft.com/security/blog/2022/04/05/new-security-features-for-windows-11-will-help-protect-hybrid-work/
Modified
Thanks for all your ideas, turn off Smart App, reinstall the browser, disable and re-enabled the extensions, turn off the firewall, and allowed in Firewall. It has to be a Windows 11 issue. The good news is that I did not release PopOs had a new distro, updated and it boots in 15 seconds and uses only 2 GB of memory. Windows 11 is bloated and consuming 10GB of my 24 GB memory at startup, and I think I am going to stay away as much as possible now. Thanks again, I update you if I ever figure out a solution to this.
Please note: if you turn off the smart app then you cannot simply turn it on again. I believe it would need an OS reinstall to switch it on again.
You are correct about the smart app feature, I have Macrium Images to go back to, but for others be cautioned.
Ok, so last night I figured it out. Launched in safe mode and it worked, turned off all extensions and it broke. Delete reinstall, extension did not delete. So I had to delete the profile, create a new one and all is working. Thanks again for all your help, hopefully, this can help someone down the road.
