Upgrade and Local Folders

My Thunderbird updated (release 91.8.0, 32 bit, on Windows 10) and all my Local Folders disappeared. They held thousands of messages. Copying over the folders from a backup put the folders back in Thunderbird, but all the emails in the folders are not there.

I copied my profile elsewhere. I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, then copied my profile info back into the Thunderbird directly. This solved most of the problem. Local Files came back, though I lost the contents of messages in my Inbox, though not the addresses and subject lines.
