how do i make the saerch bar in Thunderbird smaller or hide it totally

I accidentally hit something in the menu bar and some how mad the search bar really long how do i either make it smaller or hide it totally is there away to make it shorter or remove it totally

Click View>toolbars. If quick filter bar is ticked, untick it. Another option is to locate the quick filter icon on tool bar, move cursor to an empty space on that toolbar, right click and click customize and drag it off the toolbar.

quick filter bar is not ticked and i do not even have it enabled but search bar is still long

thank you for the reply i figured it out and now the search bar is gone. I appreciate all the help
