Dear Mozilla, Thank you. My husband died last year and he's the one who set up our email at ... @comcast.net. Yesterday, it was working and I got incoming emails. Today it's asking for a password;every time I try a different one,it's rejected. Can you please help; I'm not very knowledgible about computers other than searching and sending emails. Please. Hello Barbara Do you know how to log in to your online webmail? The Thunderbird password needs to be the same as the online email account is using. So the first test is to make sure you know what the password for webmail is, and then use it in Thunderbird. If necessary you may change the password online and then apply the new password when Thunderbird prompts you. However - changing password for webmail might require that the confirmation is sent to a phone/text/alternate email address, so you may need to check how the change password method works for your particular email provider, and that you can access any confirmation message they send, before you make any changes.
