I cannot get messages on Thunderbird. An error message appears saying: "Error with account kmys@erols.com. Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.erols.com responded: Auth-Status: Invalid login or password". When I press OK on that message, the next message that comes up says:" Login to account 'kmys@erols.com' failed. Login to server pop.erols.com with username kmys failed." Options are: Retry, Enter New Password, Cancel Nothing I do except Cancel gets me anywhere...back to the beginning screen of Thunderbird with no new messages downloading. The last time messages downloaded was 12/27/21. We have been traveling for two days and this is the first time I have been able to look at emails. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance.

1) Temporarily can you log in online to your webmail at erols? I am not familiar with that specific provider but there should be a way to log in to your webmail account online. 2) Did you change your email on the online webmail? If so, Thunderbird may not be using the updated password. Test by logging in online and entering the password you use in Thunderbird to see if it works. If not, you may need to reset password for webmail, and then open Thunderbird and save the new one when prompted in Thunderbird. 3) Did erols change their security requirements, or does erols have extra layers of authentication? That's a question for support at erols if the other suggestions don't succeed.
