I was using Thunderbird to move from an old Gmail account to a new one. The instructions said to use an add-on called Copy Folder but as I got into the process, turns out Copy Folder is no longer available. Both emails are IMAP. I manually transferred the emails. I was using labels so I wanted to keep that configuration. The labels were all created in the new gmail. SOME of the emails went and some didn't. Thunderbird is showing all the emails just fine. When I open the new gmail account, all the emails are not showing.

I have refreshed Thunderbird. How do I get the emails that it is showing to appear in the new gmail account? I don't plan to use Thunderbird going forward. I just wanted to use to move emails.

I'm not tech savvy so please help me finish this process. Thank you.

In old gmail mail account, did you check that you had downloaded a full copy of all emails before trying to copy over to new gmail account ? It is possible you were only copying headers. It is also possible you tried to copy more MB than is allowed - gmail place a limit.

Right click on old gmail account name folder in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'. Select 'Synchronisation & Storage' Message Synchronising: Select checkbox 'Keep messages in all folders for this account...etc' Click on 'Advanced' button Check all folders and subfolders are selected and click on ok

Disc Space: Select: 'Synchronise all messages locally regardless of age'

Menu app icon > File > Offline > Download/Sync now Select 'Mail Messages' click on OK

Once everything is downloaded. Copy a batch of emails from old account and paste them into the relevant folder on new account.

There will be a lot of jibber jabber going on whilst each email is then uploaded to server. Please note gmail does place a limit on the number of emails/sise of emails you can upload, so you may need to do this over a period of time. See limits here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/1071518?hl=en
