Weird tab view in new update

So I was really happy with the look and feel of the old Firefox Android app but with the latest update the tab list layout is driving me crazy. Does anyone know if there is a way to get back to the grid layout I had before where it showed a preview of the pages? Now I just have their names with a small white box next to them and it's hard to remember which page is which without opening each one one by one and letting them load. Thanks

As a note, some websites do show a preview but some just stay white. also even when it has one it's much smaller than they were before
