Lower than expected filesize restriction with WeTransfer

I'm finding that somewhere between 247MB and 278MB in size, uploading (i.e. linking to) attachments with 'Filelink | WeTransfer' starts giving this dialog box error.

Upload Error: Unable to upload <filename> to WeTransfer.

But I thought that file sizes could go up to 2GB.

Windows: 10 64bit, 1909 Thunderbird: 68.9.0 32-bit.
