I deleted the Firefox file and installed Firefox again. I keep getting the dialogue box with the message: "Firefox is already running, but not responding. The old Firefox must be closed to open a new window". This is all I get. What do I do?

Have you tried turning your computer off then turning it back on again?

It's a running job in the IT world, but in all seriousness, it often fixes problems like this. Always good to try it because it will close anything that's running and will give you a clean slate to work with.
