I can't open, save and download from Firefox

From one day to the next, the options: ctrl + s or ctrl + o, or when doing the same to save or open through the menu, both in normal mode and in Firefox safe mode, stopped working. There is no error messege. The MATE browser simply does not open. I have reinstalled Firefox, restarted my computer, but the problem remains the same. The different solutions offered on the Internet did not work for me.
