After reinstalling firefox to fix an other bug (Win10 not recognizing it anyomre as a browser), firefox sets back to default after restarting my pc.

Every time I restart my pc, firefox is back to it's default state, then it starts syncing reinstalls every add-on etc etc. What can I do? Should I just reinstall it again? Would that just give me a third bug? What's going on lately with the browser?
