Firefox reads wrong smart card when I enter my PIN

I have ActiveClient installed need to use two smart cards, often both at once. When I try to log into a PKI-enabled site, Firefox will offer me the list of certificates from the correct card. I select the correct certificate for the site. Firefox then asks for my PIN. However, when I enter the correct PIN (I've verified this multiple times) I get the ActiveClient alert saying that the PIN is incorrect and I have X number of tries left before the card is blocked.

I've discovered that the problem is caused by the fact that even though Firefox offers me the correct card when it asks me to choose a certificate, when it asks for my PIN it tries to use the other card. I've verified this also by entering the PIN for the other card it it's accepted. I can also see that the read-light is on for the smart card reader with my second card and not the reader with the correct one. If I first p

My one work around is to pull the second card to remove it as an option for Firefox, in which case it uses the correct one, but that is not ideal. Anyone know what's going on with this and how to fix it?
