I received an email, read the email, and left it in the inbox. The next time i looked for the email to re-read it, i searched for it and found it in the Trash Box. I put it back in the Inbox to keep track of it as i would want to later move it to another folder. Again it was gone and found in the Trash Box. Once i found it there again i did a search for it by looking for all emails from the same person. The search function now not only does not find that email but does not find any of the other emails from the same person, although they are there in different boxes, both Inbox, Sent Box, and Trash Box. What's going on? Sincerely, Tom Cepek / G T Inc.

Is your account IMAP? is the account also being accessed from another device like a tablet or phone, or shared with a colleague. Usually complains of wandering mail, especially to the trash is the result of the mail being processed on another device and the change synchronized via IMAP
