In Toolbars on Customize, why is the only toolbar to select "Bookmars Toolbar"? Shouldn't there be more? (Firefox 73.0 (64-bit) on Mac Catalina 15.3)

Hi Quill, Have you tried selecting the Restore Defaults button ?

On Mac you can only show or hide the Bookmarks Toolbar. On other platforms you can also select the Menu bar, but on Mac the Menu bar is under control of the Mac OS.

Haven't you used customize mode before on Mac ?

Thanks for the tip, cor-el. I'll try to remember that.

I've used "customize mode" on Mac before but didn't know Firefox on Mac was woefully inadequate as you indicate.

"Woefully inadequate" because of Mac, not Firefox. Apple is most likely trying to screw Firefox to drive users to Safari and so violate antitrust law, like Microsoft did (and was charged for) years ago in trying to drive users to Internet Explorer.

And think of the Dev Team who have to work extra hard to make Firefox as compatible as possible with Mac.

That is how applications work on Mac. This also makes it possible to close all open Firefox windows and leave the Menu bar open to make it easy to open a new window (minimize Firefox to the Dock). When Firefox starts it can send the data that needs to be displayed in the menu bar to the OS that processes this data and possibly extends it like with the Window menu and other Mac specific features. There are also plist files (org.mozilla.firefox.plist) that can be used to enable/disable specific features. Every OS has its specific features and will behave differently and possibly use different access keys (i.e. Firefox follows the platform conventions).
