Mail goes straight to deleted folder

Every so often incoming emails go straight to the deleted folder, rather than the inbox. I can't see any pattern to this. They are all from people who have successfully sent me emails before. They don't get marked as junk, just automatically moved to the deleted folder without stopping in the inbox.

I asked this question five years ago and it was never answered, although a couple of people said they had the same problem. It is still happening, and I often lose important mail unless I remember to check the deleted folder.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? As I said, it is random and affects senders from whom I sometimes receive mail with no problem.

Many thanks.

Are these messages moved to the deleted folder at the mail provider's end or after being downloaded to TB? Check the account on the webmail site to see if this happens. Are you applying TB's junk controls on the account? Do you have any kind of security/antispam/AV program acting on email?
