how do I recover emails from an x86 version of TB that has been uninstalled with IObit's uninstaller?
I need to recover my emails from a x96 version of TB that was uninstalled with IOBit's Uninstaller 9 FREE. residual files were also removed. The uninstaller has not been closed since the insqodent occured. The Uninstaller created a restore point but I don't know how to use it to restore. I also have a x64 version of TB installed on my system. My main concern is recovering my documents that were in the email folders. Running Windows 10 64bit home edition. TB 6.2.1

Are you saying OBit Uninstaller also removed your Thunderbird profile folder? Then I think your data is gone.
Do you have a full backup of your Thunderbird profile?
Unfortunately there is no back up. Did IObit remove by profile folder? I am not sure where I would normally find the x86 Profile folder. The x64 bit version of TB is still installed and it works, but it does not contain the old emails that I need. I remember years ago Norton Utilities had a program that allowed you to actually look at the deleted files on the hard drive where only the first character of the deleted file name had been changed. It also allowed you to replace the first character with the correct letter as long as the file had not been damaged by being overwritten. I might even still have the program but I am not sure if it would work on the newer hard drives. I am thinking the XtreeGold used to have a similar program that was even easier to use. I was looking at a free trial version of EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard that will allow you to recover 2 GB of data free, but after doing the scan it presented 1118.20 GB of Data and I can't tell where the data came from, when the files were deleted, it appears to group the files by extension rather then location. I have the log file of the registry entries that were deleted . And I tried using the restore point that the uninstaller created but it comes back with an unexpected error even after I disabled Windows Defender, Malware fighter/Bit Defender.
And the x64 version has the same settings that the x86 version had.
I would suggest you as iobits how to undo the mess you have created with the product. They are the experts in their product. Until I clicked on this topic I had never heard of it.
My experience is using uninstallers from Third parties is a bit like letting an anti virus program automatically fix the issue it has found. Unfortunate side effects are common.
Hey Matt, Thanks for the suggestion, however I already thought of that and I have them working on it too. I don't have a lot of time to spend fixing the problem. I have Legal documents that will be needed in court on the 25th. But just so that you know IObit is not completely at fault. The problem started maybe a month or 2 ago when TB and Firefox both came out with a new update. Everything was running great until then. Immediately after the updates both Open Office and Thunderbird would quit responding in the middle writing an email or document. I was able to fix the problem with open office by creating a new profile. I was told that IObit Malware fighter/Bit defender was the cause (even though it was Thunderbirds update that caused the problem). I reluctantly followed the instructions I was given that was supposed to stop the malware fighter from scanning the emails. If anything that made it worse. The I got a message saying there was another TB update (I was hoping that it would fix the problem) When the update had completed I discovered that I now had 2 shortcut Icons on my desktop. One for the x86 and one for the x64 versions. Then I found a setting in bit defender that specifically allowed for exclusion of Mozilla TB and Firefox I tried that and it prevented me from doing anything. So that was undone. Then another TB update changed the problem slightly. It caused the program to pop up a warning and save my email as a draft. I didn't have to wait as long for the program to start responding again and I wasn't being forced to reboot and losing my work. In any event I thought I should remove the extra version of TB. I clicked on the original shortcut and it would open my original program, and when I looked at the shortcut properties it showed x64. That told me I needed to remove the x86 version. I then used the uninstaller to remove the x86 version. When that finished I had IObit remove the residual files then I discovered that the x86 program was gone but the x86 short cut I con was still there and the x64 shortcut was gone. I redirected the shortcut to the x64 version and discovered it was the wrong version. You might also note that IObit's uninstaller activated and used the Thunderbirds own uninstall program but I believe the residual files are determined by IObit. So Matt I know what your thinking because it's got me scratching my head too. Whats even more interesting is just before I started the last sentence the computer stopped responding and a partial black box was appearing at the bottom of the screen that said in part , residual file cleaning for intraview, firefox and thunderbird was fixed, I don't remember the exact statement but I got the idea that the residual file cleaner was too aggressive. I will try to find the information again but it might be an IObit admission. Matt, I am not crazy but I do believe I may be being pushed in that direction.

There is no x86 profile folder. There's only one profile with all your data, regardless of whether the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Thunderbird is installed. So UNDER AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles there are 2 folders
cfzzhjng.default Modified 11/08/2019 and q0cbcfdp.default-release Modified 11/12/2019
The first folder has 10 folders more and a bunch of other files dating back to 2015. And the 2nd folder has 7 folders more with files that that are only dated back to 09/14/2019.
So what you are telling me is that all my emails, contacts etc. are there under the first folder, correct?
And if that is correct how do I recover them?
Open your Troubleshooting Information. Click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information.
This should list the two profiles you mentioned above.
Note the name of the current default profile.
Then click the 'Launch profile in a new browser' button for the other profile shown, presumably this is your cfzzhjng.default profile. The button label is incorrect and awaits correction. But clicking the button will launch Thunderbird in a new window with the selected profile loaded. If it happens to be what you are looking for, click the 'Set as default' button and you're good to restart Thunderbird.

Thank you very much, I have recovered all my emails, contacts etc., Thunderbird still stops responding when I am writing messages. It warns me with a pop up message that my message has been saved as a draft, sometimes it will start responding again after a few minutes and other times another message to end the task pops up. Sometimes if I x out of that popup it will start responding again and sometimes it closes the document and sometimes it closes Thunderbird.
What is your anti-virus software?
IOBit Anti-Ransomeware, Anti-Malware, Bitdefender and Windows Defender is currently in periodic mode, usually it is Turned On.
I also just had a shutdown occur with a Stop Code of Unexpected store exception.
