Is the fee charged by mobi.net et al, a monthly charge or a one time only charge.
I opened Thunderbird and checked the box to set up a new e-mail account. After entering my name, and clicking on search, I was given a choice of 2 e-mail addresses through mobi.net. There was a charge of $24.73 listed and payment request but there was no information as to whether or not this was a one-time fee or a monthly charge for service. I would like to know before I send money

Do you know that you can sign up for a free account with gmail, outlook.com, gmx.com and many other providers, and set it up in TB, starting from File/New/Existing Mail Account?

After my posting, I did find info on mobi.net (Hawaiian based service). I was hoping to find an e-mail account that was less invasive, and with less advertising. Thanks for your input.
