Firefox Preview uses too much data

I normally consume 2G of data per month. Today and yesterday Firefox Preview consumed over 9G -- in two days!! I couldn't see any way to find which sites did this or what might have caused it. I wonder if you could recommend diagnostic tools. Has this happened to anyone else?

This is on a Pixel 3 using Android 10 Security Level Oct 5 2019, Firefox Preview 2.1.0 Build #12821601

Assuming you have Firefox Preview connected to your Firefox Account, do you have it set to sync your browsing history?

I do not have Firefox Preview logged into to my Firefox Account. So browsing history is only in the app itself on the phone. If I did that, and synced it, would there be diagnostic tools in the Account functionality? Is that what you are suggesting?
