Migrating manually from thunderbird 60.x on Linux to 68,1, I lose my collected and personal addresses. How can I get them into 68.1? export from 60.x and import to 68 doesn't seem to work.

Chosen solution

Copy abook.mab (Personal Address Book) and history.mab (Collected Addresses) from one profile folder to another, while TB is closed. But if the TB setups are on the same computer, you should be able to make TB 68 use the profile folder used by 60.
