I have been sending large emails, 3 or 4 photos attached, from my phone to my work Thunderbird account. Went fine for a while and then they just stopped coming through. In fact, not only have my emails not gone through but haven't received ANY emails for 2 days now. Outgoing mail still works.

If anyone can help that would be great.

Thanks

Tony

have you tried starting Thunderbird and just leaving it connected for an hour or two? Depending on your internet speed and other environment problems you might find a large email takes a very long time to download.

Have a look at the activity manager. In the menu on the toolbar. See if it is reporting "getting mail" continually.

Hi Matt

Thanks for your reply. Activity manage says "no messages to download". It was on all day yesterday and nothing. had no message through for 36 hours now.

Have tried sending test email, just text, and that hasn't gone through either.

Do you have access to this account via web mail or another device? It would be interesting to see if those messages are actually in the inbox to download.

No I don't.

Thanks for trying to help. Resolved now. Had just run out of space, don't know why I didn't think of it in the first place.

As it is 'my work' email address, I suggest you ask the tech people at work what has occured. The emails you sent with images - were they work related? Has work suspended the account for some reason? Can they access the webmail account to say whether the account is still receiving new mail?
