Opened Thunderbird and it still needed a password. I do not use saved passwords or master passwords. I didn't go into setup or config options. All the messages I dealt with contained no attachments. I closed email after ca. 30 mins. Did not restart computer, approx 1 hour later re-opened Thunderbird, no password prompt appeared and found I could read messages without hindrance. Have restarted PC with a power cycle and system was left unpowered for approx 15 seconds to clear any TSR's; but on restart a password is not required.

For security I want to restore the password prerequisite on login.
