I have a severe light sensitivity. Normally I use a high-contrast theme that changes my inbox background color to medium gray. However, sometimes I need to switch to a regular-contrast theme for compatibility with certain programs (namely, MS Word 2013). When I do that, my Thunderbird inbox and accounts page goes back to bright white. How can I change it to medium gray? Thanks!

The folder and threads pane background color can be set with a userChrome.css file. Select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder to open the profile folder, close TB, create a new folder named chrome, create a new text file in that folder named userChrome.css, with the following content that is posted here:

The background color (grey, #D3D3D3) and text color (black) can be modified.
