Get error message that login failed, but when I later press "Get messages" after having cancelled the error message, it works as it should.

Until yesterday I have not been able to login at all for some days. It helped when I called the supplier and changed the password. Then it worked immediately but only a few times, then the error messages started to come again, but now its just a matter of cancelling the error messages and then it works. I get the sense that its because TB tries to login all too fast, that if it could delay a little bit before logging in it would work fine. All the time I have been using TB I have got this error message occasionally, where as now it is permanently. (I use win10 and I have disabled having Defender scanning the TB folder as suggested somewhere on the support sites. I have tried all suggestions I have found when searching for answers to similar problems)

Hi, Getting information is a little difficult, because it's not in English, but if I understand correctly, the following page contains the correct server settings: https://kundeservice.yousee.dk/mail/opsaetning/serveroplysninger

If so, try updating your incoming server name from pop3.mail.dk to pop3.yousee.dk

Hi Helpseeking, Could you provide more information about your Thunderbird setup?

  1. Go to [=] > Help > Troubleshooting Information then click Copy text to Clipboard.
  2. Go to https://pastebin.com and go to Edit > Paste to paste the info from your Troubleshooting Information page.
  3. In Firefox, click on the three dots to the right of the address, and select Copy Link.
  4. Open a reply to this post, and go to Edit > Paste to paste the link to your troubleshooting information.

So it helped for a while but today the problem is back. Error message that says: Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop3.yousee.dk responded. LOGIN failed.

And if I leave it by itself and come back later, in the meantime it has managed to login and download the latest mails.

You have any idea what is wrong?
