Lightning Calendar Events Disappear

I'm using Thunderbird 60.4.0 and today for the first time added Lightning 6.2.4. When I created the Calendar, I selected an .ics calendar and entered the GoDaddy URL location. Now that I'm using the calendar, the events that I created on my GoDaddy calendar appear, but any events that I've created using the Lightning Calendar appear momentarily and then disappear within a few minutes after they're created. How do I get these Lightning Calendar events to stay on the Lightning Calendar? Do I have to publish my Lightning Calendar? I have both my "home" calendar and this new calendar checked on the left panel (see attachment) so that all calendar events should appear.
