Do you have the 3 buttons in the upper right corner of the Firefox browser? If so click there and a settings menu with then be open. In the settings you can make Firefox your default browser. You will find it towards the bottom.

If you don't see the buttons in the upper right corner. Try uninstalling the reinstall. That should make those appear and then follow above to set default.
