My folder "all mail" will not change. It is now in alphabetical order by correpondent

Was looking for a recent message that was deleted in my inbox and found that the all mail folder will not change from its order. Please advise as I would like it to be in order as received.

Chosen solution

Clicking any column header will sort on that column. Clicking the same header a second time reverses the sort. A small pointer appears on the column being used as the sort and points in the direction of the sort. You want to sort by date. Click the column header labeled DATE.
