Up until recently I received 12 or less spam emails in my spam folder. Within the last month the number of spam email has grown exponentially; 50/day.

What may have caused this sudden leap and are there free filters available that I can use.

I'm using Windows 10.

Thanks!

Hi, as Firefox is not a Email Client but a Browser that can interface with online accounts would you be looking for Thunderbird  ? If so please find it here : https://support.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird

So no idea but for a donation to this site (10bucks goes for years) you can as long as your email can view full headers can use spamcop.net It will parse the headers and find where it comes from and where links go to as most of the time your looking at fake info and you can forward or copy/paste to your account. Might take a few years to stop 50+ a day.

You signed up some where wrong. Never use a personal email address to sign up for anything. use a disposable account such as yahoo or gmail.

There are Programs you can get from Norton or other reputable places/.

I have read elsewhere about problems with Thunderbird. How would you rate TB’s level of being troublefree?

Thanks for the other tips!

The only way you can get that much spam is if you used your email at sites on the internet and that gave them permission to pass your email address to other spam senders. That isn't a fault of FF forum or Thunderbird email but a user caused Spam issue. You should contact your email provider your using for you email to help you with the Spams your gettings.
