Hi, I have some advanced/personnal mail filtering program on my email server that adds a specific Header inside messages to mark them as spam. Can I tell Thunderbird to detect this header and mark the message as a Junk too ?

Another point is I would like that all Junk messages will NOT display any remote content, is that possible ?

Regards, Marc

use a message filter and specify the custom header in customize when selecting the criteria, then use the filter to mark as junk. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters

Thunderbird does not load remote images at all by default, so you comments about remote images are a little confusing.

Hi, I will test that. I hope the message filter works on the "Junk" folder and not only in my INBOX because I have pre-filtering software that folds the detected spams already in the Junk folder with adding this specific mail header.

But about the picture, that is just what I say : I see a lot of spam pictures I expected thunderbird to hide as a bad content. You may pointed some thing anyway I also have to check: maybe these are not remote images but embedded ones....

Hi. The subject is still open. The filter does not work on Junk folder itself :-/

Filters only work automatically on the Inbox. For other folders you need to run them manually.

I understood that, so that does not answer my initial problem.

I would like to run filter automatically on some other folder than inbox. Not all, obviously, I understand there are some performance issues, no worry.
