How do i migrate ALL mailboxes and Filters to a new install?
looks like Migration will deal with LOCAL FOLDERS only, i need to also include the subfolders and FILTERS of the IMAP accounts so the new install retains ALL the structures set up already..

What leads you to this conclusion? A profile contains all these things that you wish to retain. Just copy the whole profile to the new installation.
Do you have direct experience, or have you read something that tells you these data are lost? Any links to share with us?
I'm concerned that you used the word "migration". I'm not sure that our support articles use this word, so I am wondering if you have been looking at material concerned with importing of data from other clients, which isn't really relevant to transfer of data from an existing Thunderbird to a new installation.

Looked at the directory tree of the folder mentioned in the link i followed to the question "How do i migrate ALL mailboxes and Filters to a new install?". saw only the LOCAL folders when following the instructions on a video i watched.. the link you sent was similar ,but the the destination was the same as far as copying folders.
i have a multitude of folders in 4 IMAP accounts with filters for them that i would LIKE to be able to import to a fresh install of T-Bird as the current one freezes frequently -even when not being accessed directly (aka using another program in the foreground and TBird is idle) which is rather frustrating...-
had to do a fresh install after Win8 augured in a while back, was unable to recover mailboxes .
just want to be sure i do not loose all the filter info, the mail boxes, etc...takes an ugly amount of time to build them.
thx

The profile contains all your stuff. I know because I have moved profiles between computers many times.
Please provide a link and quote the exact words that make you think otherwise.
cant find the link... the trepidation comes from a rough viewing of the contents of the folder... i may have missed something...
just want to be sure i keep the mailboxes on the IMAP AND LOCAL accounts as well as the associated FILTERS... rebuilding would be a nuisance..
