I use AT&T with: W10 - ASUS Desk Top - Defaults of FireFox & ThunderBird

Since February 2018 after moving & re-loading everything w/new modem; even though ThunderBird is my E-Mail Default, I get Msgs saying my PW is InCorrect for Out & In Bound

How is the BEST Way to InStall TB PassWords, so I NO Longer have this problem. This is a NEW Mess!!!

Please check each of the following and post results.

The password will be the same one you use to access webmail. Q: Can you access webmail via a browser using that password?

If you moved everything onto a new computer: check the Firewall allows Thunderbird program. Q: Is Thunderbird an allowed program?

If you use a product like CCleaner do not allow it the scan any Thunderbird file or folder as it has a habit of deleting passwords. Q: Do you use CCleaner or similar product?

click on 'Get Messages' and tell us what you see in the bottom Status bar eg: logging on, connecting, connected etc Q: Do you get an error message? If yes.... Post image of the error message. OR tell us the error message ...word for word.

If you are getting an error message about password, it could mean password is wrong OR it maybe correct but not for the server settings you are using.

Post info so we can check correct server settings are used. In Thunderbird
