Master password in FF58 and having Kaspersky scan encrypted connections don't go together

There are several threads about this problem, and there are several proposed workarounds, but all of them seem to decrease the level of security.

If you have Kaspersky running AND you have Kaspersky scan encrypted connections (https) AND you have a master password in FireFox AND you upgraded to FF58 ---> All HTTPS connections will fail.

There is a thread in bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1434731 but this doesn't seem to go to a quick solution.

If you have Kaspersky (and that's a lot of folks) you probably have Kaspersky check encrypted connections. If you have Firefox you probably upgraded to 58 and I guess a large proportion of the users have a Master Password. So I guess a lot of FF users will be having this problem.

The proposed workarounds in the threads about this problem all seem to have a known or unknown effect on security. In the bugzilla link I see no sense of urgency.

The only safe solution seems to be to use Explorer or another browser until this is fixed. They all seem to work well together with Kaspersky.

Or is there something I am not seeing?
