I do not want to interpret search word conatin "." as URL
When I put search word contain ".", like "System.out.println", firefox interpret it as url. But I hope firefox to interpret it as serach word.
Would you like to give me advice to fix it?

By the sounds of it you are searching in the Address Bar Copy/Paste about:preferences#search into Address Bar then Enter You may want to switch to search with the Search Bar Select the Options you want to use here.

Maybe switch to a (one letter) keyword search to prevent Firefox from interpreting search terms as an URL.
For example, this happens:
window.open => Firefox tries http://window.open/ and then http://www.window.open/
I think the easiest-to-type workaround for this is to start with one ' character:
'window.open => Firefox sends 'window.open to your default search engine
With Google, at least, that won't change your search results.
