since switching to Firefox 56 Firefox's own pages (e.g preference, addons) ignore my colour settings - how do I make them use my colour settings

I have used Firefox for many years because it is the only browser that allows me to control the background colour, text colour, font style and font size. I need these accessibility features because I have abnormal vision - I cannot cope with a white background.

Now Firefox (56) has decided to ignore my preferences on it's own internal pages such as Settings and Addons Is there any way I can make these pages use my preferred colours?
