Filters not working on local folders
I created a spam filter with numerous entries to filter old email imported into Thunderbird. However the filter doesn't work. I selected the inbox under local folder to use, I selected match any of the following but nothing happens. It looks like it's running but nothing being removed.
The filters use the if contains so that I could add multiple filter elements. Please advise what I might be doing wrong as this is very frustrating.

Anyone have any ideas?
anyone?
Filters are an epic fail.
I am suspicious about the options in the Message Filters dialogue to select a folder and run the selected filter(s) on it. I don't think they work.
I get better results by opening the folder in Thunderbird then running the filter. I have toolbar buttons for this, but the menu offers Tools|Run Filters on Folder.
I also use FiltaQuilla which adds options to the filtering capabilities. One that I use a lot is "Folder Name", so you can construct a filter that runs only on the specified folder.
Thanks for the input. If filters don't work as advertised then I am pretty dissapointed in Thunderbird. Filtering or rules is the heart of any worthy email client.
Where do I find filta Quilla? Checked plugins for Thunderbird no luck.
BTW it doesn't matter how I run the filter, nothing happens at all. I can open the folder and select from the menu run filters on folder or use the tool/message filters/options still with zero results.
Is there anyone that has a fix for this? I can't imagine how an email client can be viewed as anything but bottom tier when filters do not work.
To understand why I am so bothered over this is I have over 600K emails that need to be filtered.
Same problem. Body contain filter does not work
It seems that Mozilla Tech support has gone AWOL on this issue. The message filters used to work fine but every now and then they stop working. I cant get any of the mail filters to filter messages from my inbox to my local folders. All i see here is comments and no solutions.
Isnt anyone willing to help or has Thunderbird help gone offline, just like the message filters.
