Since upgrade to 45.6.0 I can't drill down to a specific folder on my external hard drive, just the hard drive itself.

Before 45.6.0 I could choose "save as" then select an external hard drive then drill down to a specific folder. Now when I do a "save as" all I can do is select a hard drive and then can't drill down any further. I came late to computers so i have a little trouble reading and understanding computerese. I have tried all the FAQ's I could find. I have an iMAC(24-inch Mid 2007) running OS 10.11.6 with 2.4 GHz intel core duo with 4 GB's Ram. I would appreciate it if some one can tell me what I am doing wrong.

Do you see a little triangle button in the Save As dialog and did you click it to expand the view?

Thanks for the assist. At 70 yrs old my CRS Syndrome kicks in pretty hard. I wish I was born with a computer in my hand like my 4yr old grandson.
