I had created two sub-folders in my email folder which I used for saving important receipts, when I opened Thunderbird this morning my folders are gone. Where could they have gone?

Is the account IMAP or POP? What mail provider?

Hi Matt, thank you ever so much for reaching out to help. I truly feel a little, maybe a lot stupid, because I unknowingly clicked the the arrow beside my inbox that collapses the folder. I noticed it yesterday, and of course my sub-folders were in there. Again, thanks a lot for trying to help. Lynne

could you tell me.... would it help is those folders had a line joining them to the parent folder. I think in the longer term we have to do something about that collapse of folders, because the more folk we get on Windows 10 the more folk we have on this forum doing exactly as you have done. But I really do not know what needs to happen.

Trouble is the widgets are Microsoft default widgets so I will be pushing it to get them changed to something like the old + and -
