How to reduce page-down distances?

I use the page up and page down buttons on my mouse for quick scrolling. However, these sometimes skip too much, so I lose my place. I understand settings are application-specific, so is there any way, in Firefox, to set it to go 1/2 page down or 1/2 page up?

Thanks.

I have a strobe sensitivity, and I need animation-blockers. "Refresh Firefox" and "Safe Mode" disable animation-blockers, so they aren't safe options for me.

I have coordination issues and rsi, so I have trouble with narrow scrollbars, and can't use tendon-tearing wheels, and use a special mouse and scrolling software. "Smooth Scrolling" isn't compatible with my other scrolling software.
