can often re-starting have negative affects

I find myself constantly re starting soon into any query . My feelings seem to question "open with" default . I've witnessed a conflict between IE and FF quite soon after choosing FF as my default . Yet, sometimes if I enter from "immersive" things are greatly improved. Is there a specific reason and if so what ? So cold restarting be causing any one of these dilemmas ?

What are the negative effects??

Also, when you say --

So cold restarting be causing any one of these dilemmas ?

-- I'm not sure what kind of restart you're talking about. Is it a Firefox Refresh where you go back to default settings, or are you exiting Firefox and starting it up again, or shutting down Windows, etc.

Since I'm not sure what you mean, just a general thought: There is always a risk of corrupting programs and data if they are not shut down using their Exit command.
