How can I set Thunderbird up to automatically delete e-mails when they come in and are marked junk.
I would like to have junk automatically deleted as it comes in so I don't have to be bothered with it. Can that be done?
Chosen solution
It can be done, but I strongly advise against it. Junk/Spam filters don't work 100%. You can get e-mail in the junk folder that is not spam. If the junk folder gets emptied automatically you will never know.
You should always look through the junk folder for good e-mail that got put there for some reason. It is really annoying when people say, "I sent the e-mail 5 times! You must have got it!" Then you say, "I did not!", when in fact you did, and it was in your junk folder.
You can set up a filter to do what you want to do, but I cannot in good conscience help you do so.
