I had everything set up perfectly all of a sudden I stopped being able to download emails from any accounts hotmail and from my domain then they started again briefly and then stopped again
I am getting too many IMAP conncetions errors tried lovering the values to no avail
I have deleted all accounts re installed thunderbird and now cannot even set up accounts
mega frustrating
I dont know where to turn now been onto my ISP all the settings are correct even the hotmail auto config isnt working

Turn off your apple devices that get mail and I am guessing your problem will also go away. I have only heard of Apple devices consuming all available connections, but it is possible if you have many email connected devices I suppose.
