clicking the flame icon in the message list should nark messages as junk and move them to your junk folder. Is that not happening?

I accidentally hit the junk flame icon, and now have lost two emails that I really need. My JUNK folder is (well..., appears to be, empty). Can anyone help with that problem?

I don't even have! the Junk Mail 'flame icon'. I am a long time user of Firefox/Thunderbird, going way back to Netscape days. My greatest problem has been with Thunderbird Junk mail. I know it can be better. I may at last, have to search for a better solution. Sincerely sorry to read of your loss!

Need to know why so much junk mail stays in in box and what on earth are these boxes in some of the junk mail?
